F.A.Q.
How long does it take to deliver an oversized load?
Transit times vary based on distance, route complexity, permit requirements, and weather conditions. Oversized loads typically take longer than standard freight due to restricted travel hours, escort requirements, and specialized routing. We'll provide an estimated delivery window when we quote your shipment and keep you updated throughout the process.
What's the difference between a flatbed and a stepdeck trailer?
A flatbed has one flat loading surface, ideal for freight up to 8.5 feet tall. A stepdeck (also called step-deck or drop-deck) has a lower rear deck, allowing you to haul taller freight up to 11.5 feet while staying within legal height limits. We'll recommend the right trailer based on your freight dimensions.
Can you deliver on weekends or holidays?
Many oversized loads have weekend and holiday travel restrictions due to permit regulations. However, we can often arrange weekend delivery depending on your location, route, and local requirements. Let us know your timeline needs, and we'll explore all available options.
Can you move oversized or unusual freight like heavy equipment or large machinery?
Yes. We handle oversized, over-height, over-width, and extra-heavy freight. This includes tractors, combines, construction machines, turbines, steel structures, and other large items that don't fit in standard trailers.
Do I need special permits for oversized loads, and can you arrange them?
Oversized shipments often require state permits, escorts, pilot cars, and special routing. We manage all permits and compliance for you, so your shipment remains compliant throughout the entire transport.
How do you secure large or heavy freight on a flatbed or stepdeck?
Our dedicated drivers use chains, straps, tarps, edge protectors, and other equipment to secure your load. Everything is tied down according to DOT regulations to prevent shifting, damage, or safety issues during transit.
